Olivia Smith has been shortlisted for the 2026 PFA Young Player of the Year award.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The six players selected are those who have received the most votes from players throughout the voting process.<\/p>\n

Liv joined us from Liverpool last summer and scored a stunning long-range strike against London City Lionesses on her Arsenal debut at Emirates Stadium.<\/p>\n

Later in the season, she went on to score in February\u2019s 3-2 victory over Corinthians to help us secure the inaugural FIFA Women\u2019s Champions Cup.<\/p>\n

In total, she scored 10 goals across 38 matches in all competitions for us in 2025\/26. In this calendar year, Liv has also made three appearances for Canada.<\/p>\n

Liv will now be hoping to win the PFA Young Player of the Year award for the second season in a row, having done so in 2025 following her final season at Liverpool.<\/p>\n

The other five players in contention are Alyssa Thompson (Chelsea), Freya Godfrey (London City Lionesses), Laura Blindkilde Brown (Manchester City), Toko Koga (Tottenham Hotspur), and Veerle Buurman (Chelsea).<\/p>\n

Alessia Russo is also among the nominations as she\u2019s in contention for the PFA Players\u2019 Player of the Year award.<\/p>\n

Winners will be announced on August 25 during the ceremony.<\/p>\n
