The Spanish women's volleyball team will be among the 32 countries that will compete in the next World Cup in Thailand 2025 from August 22 to September 7.

“The classification for the World Championship comes thanks to the work of recent years, in which the Lionesses of Volleyball have maintained great performance, with qualification for the last three European Championships and two bronze medals in the European Gold League, which have elevated the Spanish team to 29th place in the world ranking,” states the statement from the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation (RFEVB).

The 'lioneses' will compete in this way for their second World Championshipfour decades after its premiere in Peru in 1982.

The Spanish team will know later, on a date yet to be determined, the composition of its competition group. The 32 teams will be divided into eight groups of four that will compete in a one-round league phase. The first two finishers in each group will advance to the direct qualifiers.
