After guiding us to three wins from three during March, Mikel Arteta has been nominated for the Premier League\u2019s Manager of the Month award.<\/p>\n
Victories against Chelsea, Brighton & Hove Albion and Everton meant that we were the only team in the division to win all of our Premier League games in March, and seeing us open up a nine-point gap to chasers Manchester City in second place. <\/p>\n
We edged out the Blues on the first day of the month by a 2-1 scoreline to record a big win, and followed it up three days later with a 1-0 success at Brighton thanks to a Bukayo Saka strike.<\/p>\n
But the month\u2019s big moment came when Mikel\u2019s introductions of Viktor Gyokeres and Max Dowman from the bench saw them net both goals in our last-gasp 2-0 success over the Toffees to take another huge step towards potentially lifting our first league title in 22 years.<\/p>\n
The boss is up against four other managers this month, including two he defeated over the past few weeks – Brighton\u2019s Fabian Hurzeler who won three out of four, and Everton\u2019s David Moyes. He won two of three, as did north-east rivals Eddie Howe and Regis Le Bris who complete the shortlist.<\/p>\n
Having now been nominated five times this season, Mikel is seeking his first Manager of the Month award since February 2024 to add to his haul of seven successes.<\/p>\n
