Aaron Ramsey has announced his retirement from professional football.<\/span><\/p>\n The 35-year-old has called time on a career that began in 2007 and saw him make 551 appearances for Arsenal, Cardiff City, and Juventus in addition to winning 86 caps for Wales. <\/span><\/p>\n Ramsey has been without a club since he left Mexican side Pumas UNAM last summer. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis has not been an easy decision to make,\u201d he said in a statement posted to social media<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAfter a lot of consideration, I have decided to retire from football. It has been my privilege to wear the Welsh shirt and experience so many incredible moments in it. It would not have been possible without the incredible input of all the managers I have played under and all the staff who have helped me in many ways.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSecondly, thank you to all the clubs I\u2019ve been lucky enough to play for. Thank you to all the managers and staff who have helped me be able to live my dream and play at the highest level.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAnd a huge thank you to my wife and children and all my family.
