“I am writing for this to tell you that I will not be commenting on the NFL playoffs on DAZN,” said the former Radio MARCA collaborator in the program 'El Touchdown' along with Iñako Díaz-Guerra, Abraham P. Romero and Javier López.

Rubén Ibeas, who is 49 years old and was a professional basketball player after training in the Estudiantes youth academy, explained that “there are times when things do not go as one wants and desires. Life is about making decisions and trying to know what is best for oneself… And that is what I am in right now.”

“I will continue enjoying the NFL like another fan from the couch at home,” the former Estudiantes, Guadalajara, Plasencia, La Palma, Huesca, Ourense and Aridane player published on X (Twitter) and Instagram.

Two days after publishing his statement announcing that he would not comment on the NFL playoffs on DAZN, he thanked fans for their support of American football: “The last 24 hours have been overwhelming. Thank you all very much for the love I have received, it has been incredible. And now it's time to continue enjoying the best league in the world.”

“I'm writing this to tell you that I will not be commenting on the NFL playoffs on DAZN.

There are times when things don't go the way you want and desire. Life is about making decisions and trying to know what is best for yourself.

And that's where I am right now.

I want to thank everyone who has shared a cabin with me these months (Ángel, Rafa, Paco, Santi, Javier Carrasco, Pepe and Álvaro). Thanks to Diego for everything, for the effort he makes week after week and for being a sensational guy. And thanks to those of you who have been behind the screens in each game.

I will continue to enjoy the NFL as a fan from the couch at home.

Until next time.”
