The CV Guaguas won his eighth Copa del Rey of Volleyball on Sunday by defeating the Unicaja Costa de Almería 3-0, eleven times champion, in the final of the tournament played in the European Pavilion of Leganés (Madrid).
The CV Guaguas, current league champion and leader of the current male superliga, beat the Almeria team 27-25, 25-17 and 25-20 to rise with his eighth Corona Copera after those achieved in 1989, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997 and 2021.
The Grancanarios were more successful in serve and attack to conquer the same first set and take advantage at the start of the second and the third.
The distribution of Miguel Ángel de Amo, chosen MVP of the tournament, shone his attackers Walla Bezerra, Paolo Zonca and Nicolás Bruno, and led them to conquer a new trophy for their record in a crowded European Pavilion of Leganés with four thousand spectators, reports the RFEVB.
Unicaja, king of drinks, connected to the game with the points of Neaves and Fran Ruiz, but would be an unsuccessful struggle. Jean Pascal Diedhiou added the final point and allowed CV Guaguas to conquer a new title for his record.
