The Guaguas defeated Belgrade Party 3-1 In the third match of the second phase of the Volleyball Champions Leaguewhich gives the Grancanario set the ticket for the next round of the maximum European competition, the group stage.
The game began this Sunday night at the Sportski Centar Master in Zemun, in Serbia, with the advantage of the yellow (6-3). The Guaguas remained ahead throughout the set (14-10)dominating the encounter and arriving with guarantees at the end of the manga, which won 25-20 (1-0).
The Serbs opened the second set with three points ahead (0-3)which forced the coach of the Canaries, Sergio Miguel Camarero, to request dead time to cut the streak of the rivals and try to correct the situation of his team.
The Guaguas had the reaction that the coach expected and cut the differences (10-11) but for a short timesince Belgrade's party distancing himself again (12-16). Grancanarios players managed to tie the sleeve at 17 points and win the set for a tight 25-23 (2-0).
The third set began, like the second, with the advantage of the hosts of Belgrade (3-6). Also as in the previous one, the Grancanarios managed to match, this time to 12 points.
The clash continued equal but after the draw to 21 on the scoreboard, the Serbian team added the points to take its first set by 23-25 (2-1).
The beginning of the fourth set was matched and consisted of a strip and loosen in which no team managed to get a significant advantage (13-11).
However, in the final stretch El Guaguas took a large rent (20-14) that led him to win the set by 25-19 and the game 3-1.
