According to multiple reports, Lenoir was arrested Thursday evening, June 26in Los Angeles on a charge of obstruction of justice.

The incident occurred around 5:30 pm PST when LAPD officers approached a group of individuals, including Lenoir, after spotting a firearm inside a parked vehicle. As officers requested the car keys, the group allegedly passed them around in an attempt to conceal them. Lenoir reportedly tossed the keys to another person, which led to his arrest.
He was released from jail early Friday morning and is scheduled to appear in court in late July. The 49ers issued a brief statement saying they are “aware of the matter” and are gathering more information
According to police reports, when officers asked for the car keys during the incident, one individual tossed them toward 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoirwho then allegedly passed them to another person in an attempt to hide them. This action led to Lenoir being arrested on a misdemeanor charge of obstructing a peace officer. He was released early Friday morning and is scheduled to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court on July 25.
As of now, the San Francisco 49ers have issued only a brief statementsaying they are “aware of the matter involving Deommodore Lenoir and are in the process of gathering further information”. The team has not made any further public comments regarding potential disciplinary action or Lenoir’s status for training camp, which begins July 22.
