The Spanish delegation that will participate between August 28 and September 8 at the Parish Paralympic Games will mark a historic female record record, since 36% of athletes are women, a percentage to which swimming, wheelchair basketball and athletics and athletics.
The Spanish Paralympic team is composed of 259 people, of which 150 are athletes (139 with disabilities plus 11 support athletes, such as athletics and triathlon guides, and rowing helmsman) and 109 more members, including coaches, doctors, physiotherapists, mechanics and organization and office personnel.

Spanish athletes will compete in 16 of the 22 sports of the Paralympic program: athletics, wheelchair basketball, Boccia, cycling, wardrobe in a wheelchair, weightlifting, judo, swimming, canoeing, rowing, taekwondo, table tennis, wheelchair tennis, shooting, archery and triathlon.

Hatching in Barcelona'92
Paralympic sport in Spain hatched from Barcelona '92. As host country, the national team managed to classify 227 athletes with disabilities, of them 161 men (71%) and 66 women (29%).
This female percentage was not exceeded in any posterior paralympic edition (26% in Atlanta'96, 25% in Sydney, 22% in Athens 2004, 24% in Beijing 2008, 22% in London 2012 and 24% in Rio 2016) until Tokyo 2020, where women represented 31% of Spanish athletes.

Paris 2024 sIt will use that female athletes to raise it to 36%, including athletes with disabilities and support athletes. However, women will be a majority in wheelchair and hastairs (100%), and Boccia (67%), and will exceed the average in wheelchair basketball, judo, rowing and taekwondo (50%); Swimming and triathlon (38%), and athletics (37%).
In absolute terms, the Paralympic edition of Paris 2024 will be the second with more women athletes in Spain, with 54, only surpassed by Barcelona'92.
