In July 2024, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of at least 0.08%. He’d been found asleep at the wheel of a Rolls Royce that was blocking a lane on the interstate in Los Angeles.
Addison pleas “wet reckless” in DUI case
Addison was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, but is negotiating a different deal instead, postponing the trial. He has agreed to a plea deal, reducing the charge to a “wet reckless” – a lesser offense than DUI.
As part of the deal, Addison will serve 12 months of probation (which may end early), pay a $390 fineand complete two online courses. His legal team says he has voluntarily engaged with Mothers Against Drunk Driving programs and has kept the team informed throughout the process.

The Vikings chose Addison first overall in the 2023 NFL Draft and last season, he starred alongside receiver Justin Jefferson on the field.
Although the jury trial was postponed, Addison remains subject to NFL discipline, with a standard three-game suspension possible under league policy. The NFL released a statement saying they are “closely monitoring all developments in the matter which remains under review.”
