The Insular Institute of Sports (IID) of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria has proceeded this June to the payment of official aid aimed at paying the expenses of the sports clubs of Gran Canaria for the participation in official competitions of sports promotion in the sports disciplines of Basketball, handball, volleyball and hockey In season 2023/2024.

Almost 60 Grancanarios clubs with teams in the categories from Benjamin to Juvenile have benefited from this subsidy, which has a total amount of 829,800 euros. For the first time, clubs that received a nominative subsidy for their first teams have also been included in this call, which prevented them from presenting to this type of calls.
