Aaron Rodgers will continue playing in the NFL beyond his 42nd birthday after agreeing a one-year with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the details of which have now been revealed. And as a result of the Californians’ longevity, not to mention his undoubted ability, he will now have the opportunity to join one of the league’s most exclusive clubs.
Rodgers’ chance to join exclusive NFL club
The schedule for the 2025 NFL season has dictated that the Steelers will play the four teams in the NFC North (the Bears, the Lions, the Packers and the Vikings), a division in which Rodgers played for 20 years for Green Bay.
If the Steelers defeat the Packers, his former team, he will become only the fifth player in NFL history to have beaten each of the 32 teams in the league.
The others being Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Tom Brady and Drew Brees. Not bad company to be a part of.

41-year-old Rodgers has been questioned plenty in recent timesparticularly after moving to the New York Jets ahead of the 2023 season.
The four-time MVP ruptured his Achilles tendon on his debut for the franchise and was ruled out until 2024. Last season, he played in all 17 regular season games but only led the Jets to five victories. 12 defeats was comfortably the worst return of his career.

However, broadcaster Stephen A. Smith is among those who believe he still has what it takes to compete against the very best in the NFL.
“It’s not idealI get it. But I’m not gonna collar the crime because you don’t have somebody better than Lamar Jackson or Joe Burrow. I got news for you – outside Kansas City and maybe Buffalo, who does have somebody better than Joe Burrow or Lamar Jackson?
“I am relievedbecause at least I have a quarterback who I believe Aaron Rodgers is still.”
