This year’s Madden NFL game will feature Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley on the front cover, marking the second year in a row that a running back has graced the game.
The standard edition of the game will feature Barkley performing the incredible ‘reverse hurdle’ that he pulled off against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is wearing the Kelly green Eagles throwback jersey in that image.
The deluxe edition of the game will see Barkley in a less specific pose, wearing the regular home uniform that he wore during the Eagles’ triumph at Super Bowl LIX.
Last year the honor of cover star was given to another RB, Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers. After a decade without a running back on the cover, EA Sports have now gone two-for-two with RBs.
“Saquon’s reverse hurdle was one of the rare, defining moments in NFL history that would have once been described as ‘something out of a video game,’” explained Evan DexterVP, franchise strategy & marketing for EA Sports Madden NFL.

The new game – Madden 26 – will be released in the United States on August 14ahead of the new season. The regular edition will be priced at $69.99, while the deluxe edition will be $99.99.
Gamers can play the newest edition of the Madden franchise on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC, via the EA app for Windows, Steam and Epic Games Store.
