The 2025 NFL Combine kicked off this week with some of college football’s top players performing drills in front of scouts and NFL teams. The Dallas Cowboys have a decent interest in the combine this year as they have over 20 impending free agents this offseason.
Coming off of a rough 7-10 season, the Cowboys are hoping to bolster their roster with some young talent. After signing quarterback Dak Prescott to a four-year contract that made him the highest-paid player in NFL history at the start of the 2024 season, Dallas has now said they’re planning to draft a quarterback to start developing behind Prescott.

At the beginning of last season, the Cowboys opted not to draft a running back, instead bringing over their old pal Ezekiel Elliott, who did exactly nothing to help the run game after losing their previous starter Tony Pollard. This year, fans are pulling for the Cowboys to draft Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty (if he’s still around when the Cowboys get their first pick at No. 12). So, on the list of prospects the Cowboys have spoken to so far at the combine, Jeanty’s name is noticeably missing.

The combine is the perfect way for the Cowboys to see which players might fit in with the team both athletically and as a part of the culture in Dallas. In addition to the running back position, the Cowboys have needs at defensive tackle, wide receiver, cornerback, and offensive line.
As of the time of this writing (Friday, February 28), here are all the players the Cowboys have met with so far.

While Dallas has not met with Jeanty (or any other running back for that matter), Cowboys insider Nick Harris explained that the team plans to meet with him at their Dallas Day pre-draft event in Frisco rather than use up a precious visit at the combine (they are not unlimited).
Ashton Jeanty (Boise State) hasn’t met with the #Cowboys yet but that is of no consequence— a Dallas Day workout at worst, an O30 at best.
It bears mentioning new offensive coordinator Klayton Adams is a Boise State alum.
