Every year the Pro Bowl brings together the league’s top players to compete in a series of challenges, culminating in a seven-on-seven flag football game. The AFC-NFC event acts as the precursor to the Super Bowl, with the flag football game coming one week before the NFL Championship Game.
This year’s Pro Bowl action will begin on Thursday, January 30 with a series of challenges. Players will take part in Passing the Test; Satisfying Catches; Relay Race; Helmet Harmony and Dodgeball.
The action concludes on Sunday, February 2 with Punt Perfect; The Great Football Race; and Tug-of-War. The flag football game will wrap up the weekend on Sunday evening.
FC and NFC rosters for the 2025 Pro Bowl
The Pro Bowl is a celebration of the league’s top performers from the season but there are, of course, some notable absences. Those involved in the Super Bowl will be excused Pro Bowl duties as they prepare for the Championship Game the following weekend.
There are 11 players from the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs who will not be taking part. Those players are Saquon Barkley, Zack Baun, Jalen Carter, Landon Dickerson, Lane Johnson and Cam Jurgen of the Eagles. From the Chiefs, Travis Kelce, Creed Humphrey, Chris Jones, Trey Smith, and Joe Thuney will be missing out.

Super Bowl-winning brothers Peyton and Eli Manning will be in charge of the two teams. As they have done in recent years, Peyton will take the AFC team and Eli the NFC roster.
“Peyton kind of keeps trying to steal my strategies,” Eli told Fox News ahead of the game. “He keeps trying to steal my playbook.”
