This past weekend saw the Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans, Detroit Lions, and Los Angeles Rams get eliminated from the playoffswhile the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, Kansas City Chiefs, and Buffalo Bills advanced to the final round before the Super Bowl.
While the Eagles and Chiefs were favorites to defeat the Rams and Texans, the Commanders defeating the Lions was a shock to manyand the Bills and Ravens game was always expected to be a close game between two MVP candidates.
Two of the quarterbacks who are now out of the picture have revealed who they want to win it all come February 9.
Jackson and Stroud reveal Super Bowl hopes
Now that Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson isn’t going to the Super Bowl, he’s said that he hopes Bills quarterback Josh Allen will. Despite the fact that it was the Bills who sent the Ravens packing, Jackson can’t help but root for his fellow MVP candidate.

“Great players recognize greatness,” Jackson said. “We both recognized each other, you know? But I told him, ‘Man, go get something, go win something, man. MVP, Super Bowl, do something. I want him to be successful.”
The Bills will take on the two-time defending Super Bowl champions Chiefs this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET at Arrowhead Stadium.
Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud also voiced his hopes for the Super Bowl this year now that he and his team are out of the picture. After losing to the Chiefs, Stroud is hoping for one of the NFC teams to go all the way. NFL insider Jordan Schultz revealed that Stroud is rooting for the Commanders and rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.
“In my opinion he’s had the best rookie year of all-time,” said Stroud. “I don’t root for many other teams, but I’m rooting for my boy. I’m rooting for the Commanders.”

Like the Texans, the Commanders have gone further than most people expected them to this season, upsetting both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Lions on the road in the playoffs. They’ll now look to do it again against their NFC East rival Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.
