This Thanksgiving features a triple-header of NFL games and the last of the three is the Green Bay Packers and Miami Dolphins game. The game kicks off at 8:20 p.m. ET from Lambeau Field and will feature a special halftime performance by electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling.
Lindsey Stirling, the flying violinist
It’s actually not fair to characterize Stirling as simply a violinist because she is so much more, and her shows demonstrate that. In addition to playing the electronic violin, Stirling is a dancer and aerialist and is known for her spectacular productions and genre-bending music.
Stirling’s songs are a mix of classical, hip-hop, pop, dubstep, rock, electro, and pop. Her choreography features aerial acts and extravagant costumes that she designs (and sometimes even makes) herself.
I’ve been wanting to see Lindsey Stirling in concert for quite some time. Finally made it happen this year and I’m so glad I went. Her arrangements are great and the level of talent on display is incredible. Highly recommend going! pic.twitter.com/KEQW6Le99b

In addition to her live shows, Stirling is a big deal on YouTube with more than 14.2 million subscribers and nearly four billion views. Her most-viewed video is the music video for her song “Roundtable Rival”, which has gathered 412 million views over the last 10 years. She also has over four million followers on Tik Tok and more than 3.8 million on Instagram.
Stirling competed on season five of “America’s Got Talent“ in 2010 when she played a hip-hop violin rendition of Flo Rida’s ”Right Round”. She made it to the quarterfinals and has since returned as a guest performer in other seasons. In 2017, she competed on season 25 of “Dancing with the Stars”, making second place with professional Mark Ballas as her partner.
Stirling has sold more than 1.5 million albumswith her 2014 album Shatter Me reaching number two on the US Billboard chart. She has collaborated with artists like John Legend and Amy Lee of Evanescence and has performed with Gloria Gaynor.
