The class of 2025/26 have helped deliver our fourth Premier League title, hoisting the famous trophy aloft at Crystal Palace.
It was the first time in 22 years that we got our hands on the trophy, celebrating in style at Selhurst Park.
But how does this year’s vintage compare to that of 1998, 2002 and 2004? We’ve taken a look at some of the details behind each success!
OUT IN FRONT
We finished top of the league by seven points in 2025/26, tallying 85 points to Manchester City’s 78.
The margin of victory has only been beaten in our 2003/04 campaign, when we finished a huge 11 points clear of Chelsea.
Of our other title wins, we also finished seven clear of Liverpool in 2002, and just a solitary point clear of Manchester United in 1998.
We’ve hoovered up 26 victories in three of our four title-winning seasons, including this season.

CLEAN SHEET KINGS
The 2001/02 season saw us find the net the most times, bagging 79 goals on our way to our second Premier League title.
The 2025/26 side netted 71 goals, just two fewer goals than the Invincibles of 03/04.
Shutting out opponents is where Mikel Arteta’s side shows distinction. With 19 clean sheets, the same tally as 97/98, we conceded 27 times, just one more than the Invincibles. It was also the third season in a row that we’d conceded the fewest number of goals in a campaign.

In 2025/26, we demonstrated our ability to edge out our opponents by a one-goal margin. ‘1-0 to the Arsenal’ has regularly rung around Emirates Stadium and beyond as we picked up eight 1-0 victories.
We won a total of 14 matches by a 1-goal margin, the same as our 03/04 title-winning season. We won 11 matches by a one-goal margin in both 97/98 and 01/02.

SHARING THE LOAD
Football is a team game and we demonstrated that during the 2025/26 season.
Excluding own goals, 18 different players found the net during the Premier League. That eclipses the tally of 13 in 97/98 and 01/02, and 12 in 03/04.
While the load was shared across so many players, Viktor Gyokeres netted the most times in the Premier League, amassing 14 in his 36 appearances. Thierry Henry’s 30 goals in 03/04 is the highest from one of our players in a title-winning year. The Frenchman scored 24 in 01/02, with Dennis Bergkamp our top league scorer in 97/98 with 16.
It was no secret that set pieces were a telling factor in our success. We netted 19 times from set pieces, including our first and final goals of the season. No side in Premier League history has scored more set-piece goals in a single campaign.
