The Spanish team has fallen eliminated in the Playa Volleyball Cup that is being played in the Puerta de Hierro Sports Park, losing in the semifinals against Austria, which is left out of the final phase.
The Central European team will face Lithuania in the final. The winner will achieve the pass to the final round, which gives a place for the Olympic Games of Paris 2024.
Javier Huerta and Antonio Saucedo lost in the first game against Julian Horl and Phillip Waller for a double 15-21; and Pablo Herrera and Alejandro Huerta gave against Robin Seidl and Moritz Pristauz 16-21, 21-18 and 4-15.
The Spanish women's team, with couples Belén Carro/Ángela Lobato and Liliana Fernández/Paula Soria, will play between the days 25 and 27 in Heraklion (Greece) before the hosts, France and Portugal.
