In 2014, the New York Giants selected wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. 12th overall in the NFL Draft. He made an immediate impact, notching 91 receptions, 1,305 yards, and 12 touchdowns in just 12 games his rookie season. He won Offensive Rookie of the Year and his one-handed touchdown grab against the Dallas Cowboys is still talked about today.

So where is Bekham Jr. today?
The sad reality of the NFL
By 2016, Beckham had his first 100-reception season and reached the playoffs with the Giants for the first time. He was named to the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons. But in 2017, things started to get rocky.
Just four games into the 2017 NFL season, Beckham Jr. fractured his ankle, forcing him to sit out the rest of the season. But in 2018, he seemed to be back to himself, becoming the first non-quarterback with multiple passing touchdowns in a season since Antwaan Randle El in 2010.
In 2019, he was traded to the Cleveland Browns and by 2020, he was injured again. He tore his ACL in Week 7, ending his season early again. In 2021, the Browns released Beckham Jr. mid-season, and the Los Angeles Rams signed him to a one-year deal in November. He ended up helping them to Super Bowl LVIwhich they won over the Cincinnati Bengals, but Beckham Jr. injured his ACL yet again in just the second quarter of the game. He missed the entire 2022 season because of it.
Since then, he’s bounced around from the Baltimore Ravens to the Miami Dolphins, but he was never back to his old self. With the Ravens, he logged just 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games. With the Dolphins, he was delayed again by a knee surgery and after starting in Week 9, logged just nine catches for 55 yards in nine games. The Dolphins released him in December 2024, and he’s been a free agent ever since.
Apparently, the former star is not receiving much interest from any NFL team. He remains unsigned, and it’s looking like retirement could be a real possibility for the 32-year-old.

Now 32, OBJ caught just 9 passes for 55 yards in 2024 and hasn’t signed with a team since his Dolphins release in December.

Despite the current situation, Beckham Jr.’s first years in New York were among the most dominant for any wide receiver in NFL history. In his decade-long career, he logged 575 receptions for 7,987 yards and 59 touchdowns in 119 games.
