A fourth league victory in a row was claimed against Burnley on Monday night, with another rock-solid defensive performance ultimately paving the way towards a massive three points.

We’ve kept clean sheets in all four of those recent wins to put us within touching distance of the Premier League title, and the latest blank against the Clarets brought up a significant milestone, as it was our 500th in the competition.

Since our formation in 1992, only two other teams have recorded more shoutouts than we have, and we have been chasing down both Manchester United and Chelsea at the top of the leaderboard in recent seasons.

Another 19 have been added to our tally in 2025/26, and only in 1998/99 and 1993/94 (when we played 42 games) have we recorded more in a single Premier League season.

David Raya’s displays in goal have been crucial to our defensive stability, and the now three-time Golden Glove winner has been responsible for nearly 10% of our overall tally, despite patrolling our posts for just three seasons.

Twice this season, we have gone four Premier League games without conceding, while no other team has managed more three. Our best run in the Premier League is eight in a row, which we strung together during our 1997/98 title triumph, when the late Alex Manninger contributed six of them.

As for opponents, Newcastle United have found it hard to find a way past us most often, with us keeping 32 clean sheets in 62 matches, while 28 in 60 have been registered against West Ham United:
