Six Gunners called up to England squad | News

Six members of our women’s team have been called up to represent England in the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

The Lionesses take on Spain at 8pm on June 5, before hosting Ukraine at 8pm on June 9 at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Sarina Wiegman’s team are currently top of Group C with maximum points from four games against Spain, Iceland and Ukraine. Should they win their remaining two matches, they will automatically qualify for the World Cup in Brazil and avoid the play-off route.

Our players who are in contention to feature for their country are Chloe Kelly, Taylor Hinds, Beth Mead, Alessia Russo, Leah Williamson and Lotte Wubben-Moy.
